Beam Domain MIMO-OFDM Optical Wireless Communications With PAPR Reduction

Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM), confirmed as an efficient technique, has been applied in optical wireless communications (OWCs) to improve the transmission rate. However, disadvantage of high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) also brings into OWC systems, especially for multi-user communications, resulting low efficiency. This paper proposes beam domain MIMO-OFDM OWCs with PAPR reduction. We describe system architecture and derive achievable sum rate OFDM which are dominated by precoding vectors. To reduce PAPR, we design vectors maximize under constraint. propose iterative process obtain a candidate optimal solution sequential parametric convex approximation (SPCA) method. Furthermore, prove that increases number users complexity scheduling allocation algorithm. Numerical results validate proposed schemes can efficiently PAPR.
